Israel didn’t achieve anything from war on Gaza: top commander
TEHRAN – The chief commander of the Iranian Army said on Sunday that the Israeli regime has failed to make any achievement during its war on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Speaking at a ceremony on Sunday, General Abdolrahim Mousavi said, “Operation al-Aqsa Storm was an unprecedented event in the 75 years of Palestinian struggle.”
He added, “This operation had very important results and proved the accuracy of the leadership's prediction that the Zionist regime will not see the next 25 years.”
The chief commander continued, “The signs for the decline of the Zionist regime have become clear. They tried for years to make Palestine look like forgotten and normal, and they called their strategy normalization. But the recent war made Palestine the first issue of the world, and even the people of non-Muslim countries are more seriously pursuing the issue of Palestine. By spending a lot of money and with its media empire, America created a beautiful image of human rights and democracy for itself, but this war showed the true nature and face of America and the countries supporting the Zionist regime.”
Mousavi implicitly described the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, as the “most detested person in the world,” underlining that the crimes committed by Israel prompted the U.S. to rectify their stances on the Israeli war on Gaza. “The U.S. president went to the most hated person in the world and supported him, but when the crimes of the Zionist regime increased, he gradually adjusted his positions,” the chief commander of the Iranian army said, according to Fars News.
He added, “This war ended with the humiliating defeat of the Zionist regime. The Zionist regime is in favor of apartheid and they consider themselves to be the superior race, and the heads of the countries that support this regime are also in favor of apartheid.”
Mousavi stated, “This operation proved that, as Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said, the Zionist regime is weaker than a cobweb. The American transport planes and some countries in the region helped this regime and billions of dollars were spent, but this regime failed and fell to its knees in front of people who have been in an open-air prison for years.”
He noted, “The Zionist regime did not make any achievement in this war. Bombing civilian centers is not considered a military achievement. In the ground war, they lost a lot of equipment and suffered casualties, and they were not even able to arrest the leaders of Hamas, as they had vowed.”
